The civic platform for the towns that big software forgot.

Anvilo powers AI-driven resident services for towns of 2,000 to 25,000. A bot that answers in plain language. A billing engine that runs on the same XML your clerk already exports. Workflows that don't require a six-figure consultant.

Our approach

Civic software, written like the town meant it.

The platforms that sell to small towns were built for cities of half a million. They ship with twenty-seven configurations the town clerk will never use, three roles she can't disable, and a price tag that consumes a tenth of the year's IT budget. We started Anvilo because the towns that need this most are the ones the big platforms ignore — places where the clerk is also the IT lead, the budget meeting is in March, and the resident-on-the-phone is also the resident-at-Town-Meeting. So we wrote it differently: as if the people using it actually had something else to do.

i.

Plain over clever

A bot that says I don't know is more useful than one that hallucinates. Every answer is grounded in the town's own knowledge.

ii.

Print, not pixels

Towns work in paper. Our bills, ledgers, and exports look right when printed because that's where they end up.

iii.

Annual budgets

Pricing tiers that fit a $40,000 annual IT line. No per-seat math, no surprise overages, no enterprise sales call.

How it works

Four steps. About thirty minutes.

Most towns are live by lunch. Sign up here, paste a couple of URLs, drop the embed snippet on the town website.

  1. Sign up — sixty seconds

Email, town name, password. We provision your tenant and seed it with a sample corpus so you can try the bot immediately.

  2. Add knowledge

Paste the town website, an FAQ PDF, the trash schedule. Anything text-shaped. We index it in the background; you can chat against it within minutes.

  3. Tune the voice

Bot name, accent color, default greeting. Optional. Defaults are sensible.

  4. Embed

Copy one line of HTML, paste it before the closing body tag on the town site. The bot loads asynchronously and never blocks page rendering.

Pricing

Three tiers. Sized for the budget.

Annual contracts are discounted 15%. No per-seat math. Cancel anytime.
